2 small questions...

Post by Wilson Henry on Sat Feb 21, 2009 5:06 pm

When upgrading a building metal and ore can be stored in the building but energy has to be in the ship and can't be used for upgrades if it's in the building. Is there any way to get round this? Turning public trade off? Or are you limited to how much capaticy is in your ship?

When you have a mag scoop full to the brim your maneuver drops to 10, can this be used for skilling purposes, especialy engineering, as you will be getting hit more?

Thanks.

1. yes, you just press the <-> button and move the energy as upkeep is standard, you need to move the energy to commodity side, then you can upgrade with the energy in the building. same goes with ore in melters...

2. I heard that this worked in earlier but it has been fixed, Im not sure about it though, maybe someone more knowledgable can confirm...

last time i heard it works, but the problem is the APs you spend on flying with it or filling it up.

the mag-scoop skilling method you described worked till ~1.5y ago..BBB with full mag scoop could get really fast ENG those days. but as it was said by lars - it was fixed, and now the gains are not worth the effort. don't try to do it..waste of aps nowaday.

as for building upgrades - it is not that energy can't be used, it is just that needed stocks for the building to tick is being automatically moved into the "upkeep" section on the right menu. you should manually transfer it to the other side of building's storage using the "<->" sign (doesn't cost aps to transfer it within the building)
