    computer crash

Post by superlars on Thu Dec 04, 2008 12:14 pm

well, as it says, my computer crashed when I tried to install sp1 for vista, it just keeps looping in the installation thingy and I cant do anything about it, recover doesnt work etc. googled it a bit and it seems I need an installtioncd to make it work again, and of course I dont have one of those Razz

Anyway, this means I wont be able to come online much, as I have to use other peoples computers. Just a notice so you dont think Im going inactive or anything like that Smile

    dude Sad

You don't take anything from MS for at least a month after first release, remember the alliance chat?

The day Microsoft will build something that won't suck is the day they build a vacuum cleaner.

Their SPs are never fully tested on the common hardware because amazingly in their state it costs less to release it and use the suckers who install it as QA... that only failed with xp sp3 which didn't even load the communications module before it crashed on AMD processors.
If you work with vista at your workplace you will also notice that the business vista packs got only limited amount of features with SP1 and it's still in "updates waiting" mode.. that's because if business packs crash it'll cost them a lot.. so they release very small amount of new features they did test, and then keep it in pending until they can safely release the rest.
