8 gold medals rock on phelps

if anyone the olympics you probably saw the beast Michael phelps completely owned mark spitz with 8 gold medals

I really enjoyed watching watching him. The 4 x 100 free relay and 100 fly I will never forget. I think that that Spitz was I little more interesting because he really brought something good out of the Munich Olympics. Btw iv'e swam in to pool where he got those metals. lols. But, no seriously Phelps was incredible.

its not fair, the olympics are supposed to be a competition but when Phelps swims he leaves everyone behind

Love the Jamaican guy on the track though. He just blew everyone away more then phelps did in the pool. Not to mention smashing all the Americans (now that should stir up some people).

Yea he was amazing, glad that Jamaica got the win. But Phelps won 8 golds 7 with world records, Bolt only won 3, not sure abou the WRs.

I still can't beleive team GB came fourth, 19 gold medals not bad... Phelps, if he was his own country, would have been 9th beating most European countries. I don't think he's the greatest olympian ever though but credit where credits due.

I think he is the greatest olympion evere due to the number of medals he won.


I was very surprised the Uk came 4th overall, and now eveyone thinks that were going to do amazing in London 2012, which we are not.

No matter how much you hate phelps you all have some appreciation for him.................and you can't deny that

Oh yeah, still have appreciation for the guy. Considering what he went through as a child aswell its very impressive.

The UK did so well because the government there greatly increased funding for all sporting institutes. Not like what Aussie government is doing which is the opposite. I reckon with all the increased work the UK are doing, in 4 years when they have the games and can have more athletes there, they will be close to the USA in medals. For once, and probably the only time, i will be cheering for the poms to beat the yanks

Im pretty sure, from what my bro tells me (Sports fanatic, watches tsn, sports center and all that stuff almost 24/7) im pretty sure Bolt broke 2 if not 3 world records. I personally am canadian, and i make fun of our close allies Can't wait till Bush is outta there
Personally if i was in the Olympics, I'd join 100m Dash, High jump, Long Jump and Boxing. Probably.

Not really, i think its going to ruin the country bcasue of the obscen amounts of money being spent on them.

Yeah, Its all over Canada too. But im kinda worried about the new president cause the president of the U.S is really crucial to Canada since we are national neighbors and allies. So if we get a bad leader, It will badly affect us. We in Canada will also be having an election i believe.
