help with ranking

i have a question about ranking...
im a collector i a marauder. should i stick with it and do kill missions or should i go for a junker and do package missions?
target will be to be able to buy an el padre

you will get the money easier with package missions.... as collector you can also do explosive missions that is easier in a junker than in a Marauder with little space.

Actually although you can do less explosive mission there safer with a maruder as you hit less WH damage so they go boom less.

But Ive been trying kill ranking to accountant and its hard so I suggest packages, its just boring.

If you got skills that allow you to kill the targets with ease, go with the kill missions.. Ice beasts, ESP, ESD.. and whatever comes along the way... say way from gorefanglings and Saracencias.
Killranking is pretty good and profitable if you're up for it.
But.. If it takes you over 7 rounds to kill a ESP or over 15 to kill an ice beast.. switch to a junker, or go skill first.

If you really want to kill rank you will need to go skil agains't x-squads until you have either 40 HA or have killed 100 of them.

where can you find x squads? arent they in pardus cluster and wont they kill me quickly?

you can also find them in all neutral sectors, EPR is the best place for us. You should be able to fight them (barely) right now, I would suggest killing around 20-30 YSDs first and then you should have no problems with them, but remember to carry some bots and start retreating in good time.

I would, like everyone else, suggest going for the junker if its rank you are after. otherwise it will take you a few weeks of skilling before you can start killranking efficiently, in that time you would already be in an el padre if you had been package ranking with a junker

X squads can be found in neutral zone as well as pardus faction contingents.

The squads have ~900 Hull points, no armor or shields and use 5MW impulse lasers.
A marauder with Zortium armor should be fine against them.. though a x3 exotic armor is better.

you can start poking them slowly to find the best way to fight them at first, but they are really not that bad.
If you are unsure and want to raise your skill a bit before starting with them - go for the space worms (the purple things in the nebulas) or the albino worms at the asteroid fields.
Also you can poke a few blood Amoebas, they're a bit worse for skilling and harder to kill but are more or less same as the x-squads on the skill levels.
